How to Find Lost Items in a Taxi
1. Credit card payment
These days, credit cards are used more than cash. Credit cards are again divided into physical cards and Samsung Pay. First of all, if you paid by card (credit, check, transportation), you can contact the taxi driver 99.9% of the time. There are just two conditions. T-money or Loca Mobility (cash fee) is the most common way to pay for taxi fare (swipe or swipe card).
1-1. T-money Taxi Lost and Found
This is when payment was made with a credit/debit card, Samsung Pay, transportation card (T-money, Cashbee), etc. The T-money taxi here refers to a payment machine attached to the taxi, not a T-money card payment. When making a Samsung Pay payment, you can check it right away by calling the card approval number after connecting to a counselor. You can check the approval number directly from the notification window, but if not set, you can find the date, card name, approval number, and amount in ‘Samsung Pay→Card→Card details→Check payment history’.
Items such as clothes, bags, wallets, etc. can be found this way, but if you leave your phone behind, you will need to call yourself or use the same method as above to get information from another phone.
1-2. Loca Mobility Taxi Lost and Found
The method of finding lost property in a locamobility taxi is similar. Loca Mobility refers to Cashbee. It is said that the ratio is higher in the provinces than in Seoul. There are three ways. First of all, you can contact the city/gun/gu office call center to obtain taxi company information, contact the area code +120 Dasan call center, or contact the Loca Mobility customer center.

The method is the same as T-money. The reason why I can know the number of the taxi I took and the contact information of the driver is because they are all recorded on the receipt.
1-3. Call the credit card company
Both methods work, but if that doesn’t work, you can call your card issuer for information. You will be notified directly or you will receive information through the taxi company.
2. Kakao Taxi Lost and Found
If you use Kakao Taxi, you can check it right away in the app or app. If the lost item is a smartphone, you can contact the Kakao Taxi Customer Center at 1599-9400.

3. Cash payment
It’s not easy to find items if you paid in cash. If you received a receipt, you can contact us directly as the company name, license plate number, phone number, and pick-up and drop-off times are all recorded on the receipt. However, since most do not accept receipts, there are ways to contact each local union.

First of all, this is how to contact each local general and corporate taxi association. If you know the company name or corporate name of the taxi you left behind, you can call them directly, but most don’t know, so there is a way to ask the local taxi union. Alternatively, you can report and check found items, lost items, and lost items on the National Integrated Police Agency’s Lost and Found Portal.
